    people are posting their grocery receipts from last year, comparing them the same items. prices are about 2x.

    Yep... 4 years ago, I was putting $1000/month in my savings account after paying off my house.

    Now every month, I have to take the $1000 out of my savings account just to my bills.

    But our gov't assures us that we are much better off now than we were then..

    Who the fuck are those morons kidding???

    yeah i've been dipping into the credit cards way too much.
    i'll have to run leaner and pay them off aggressively.

    people actually believe this, too. that's why you can't trust people.
    our forefathers in the usa even mentioned you can't trust people to make judgements. that's why we don't have a democracy.
